Bike Repair Clinic a big success!

Great turn out for the Bicycle repair clinic.  We gave away over 20 bikes and fixed many neighborhood kids bikes.  It was a great time to help and interact with everyone.  I think we will have to do this again!

Biking Weather

Now that the weather is getting better, we have been able to actually ride our bikes.  We ride, stop at playgrounds, stores, or whatever.  We still have a lot of bikes that need fixing, so we will be putting them together.  We are also looking at doing a neighborhood bike repair event this spring.

Bike Club in the Snow.

Had a fairly chaotic day at bike club.  After a short devotion, we started working on some bikes and were back and forth to my house getting tools and parts as the snow fell.  I'm sure the neighbors and the cop sitting on the corner were wondering what was going on.

First meeting

Our first meeting went well.  We had 5 young men show up.  We talked about what we were going to do and then cleaned out a room in the church that will be our meeting place.  Then we looked at some of the bikes that were donated.  "Dibs."  "That one is mine."  They each picked out a bike to rebuild.  We will start on that next week.

We are changing the time to 3:00 to 5:00 for now until it gets warmer.

A great start.  I know we will have a larger turnout next week.  Thanks for your prayers.

Bike Club Starts Tomorrow!

Pedals in Prescott starts tomorrow at 2:00 pm at Grandview Park Church.  

We still meet even if school doesn't.
